The girls want to watch Pee-wee's Playhouse while they eat lunch. I tell them we should watch something about nature (because by our calendar it is Nature Day) and Sofia says, "But, Daddy, Pee-Wee has lots of nature, like talking flowers and laughing fish. And a pterodactyl!
"Yeah...but those are all fakes," I say.
Lucia perks up, "But Dad, Pee-wee's not fake!"
Foiled again.
